bio based leather manufacturing process

to make bio based leather ,for example corn based leather,there are several steps

1:turn the corn starch into Propanediol ,it needs fermentation(we need add enzymes into corn starch raw material)

we need remove the water,microorganism and other leftovers( which can be reused as fertilizer) to get the pure Propanediol

2.we will use the Propanediol as chain extender or polyol for MDI etc to make pu or TPU

the pu or TPU will be coated on the fabric ,get texture by release paper or embossing roller,

then we get the bio based leather.

the bio based leather has many different kinds.

like pineapple leather,apple leather ,cactus leather etc.

our bio based has 33%-75% percentage biobased content.
